Paul was looking to finish the season strong at Carolina Motorsports Park. Paul was running well in practice. He qualified 3rd. Paul was battling Justin Allison for majority of the race for 2nd spot. While this was going on, Brandon McReynolds and Michael Cooper caught up. Allison spun out with only a couple laps remaining and it came down to Paul and Cooper. Michael got beside Paul on the front-stretch on the final lap and they had a drag race to the finish line. Neither lifted into the corner because they wanted to max out on speed. Cooper prevailed and Paul came home 3rd. Paul ended up 11th in points out of 53.

Paul started 6th at Florence. He was running on the outside of Tyler Speer when Tyler had a bolt come loose and he come up into Paul and spun him out. As a result, Paul had to restart last and he worked his way back up with a loose car and finished 4th to get the Bell 4 Saftey Award. This string of good races leaves Paul in 9th in the points.
